Poems inspired by my essay, "Pursuing Your Passion: How to Turn Your Art into Your Work"
1.)Â "The Canvas of Life"
Think of a work of art, a canvas so grand
A life unfolding, a journey to expand
The brushstrokes of passion, the colors so bright
A dance between art and work, a wondrous sight
The world whispers secrets, of purpose and might
A call to explore, create, and ignite
The spark within us, a flame that burns true
A light that guides us, through all we do
In the studio of life, we find our way
Through trial and error, we shape our day
The canvas stretches wide, a landscape so grand
A reflection of our soul, a work of art in hand
The colors blend and merge, a symphony so fine
A dance between light and dark, a balance divine
The art of living, a journey so bold
A celebration of life, a story to be told
In the beauty of nature, we find our place
A sense of belonging, a sense of grace
The world is our canvas, our life is the art
A masterpiece unfolding, a work of heart
So let us embrace this dance so free
A celebration of life, a work of art in me.

"Unfinished Canvas"
we're all scribbles on an unfinished canvas
trying to find our shape, our purpose, our stance
we're works of art in progress, rough drafts
trying to find our voice, our rhythm, our cadence
we're told to color inside the lines
but what if our beauty is in our mess?
what if our purpose is to splash paint
on the walls of the world, to make our own way?
we're not just workers, we're wanderers
searching for our passion, our fire
we're not just cogs, we're creators
trying to find our place, our desire
we're unfinished canvases, works of art
trying to find our beauty, our heart
we're not just products, we're processes
trying to find our way, our progress
we're told to fit in, to conform
but what if our strength is in our differences?
what if our power is in our uniqueness?
what if our beauty is in our imperfections?
we're not just employees, we're entrepreneurs
of our own lives, our own souls
we're not just consumers, we're creators
of our own destiny, our own goals
we're unfinished canvases, works of art
trying to find our voice, our vision
we're not just objects, we're subjects
trying to find our purpose, our mission
this poem is a protest, a rebellion
against the idea that we're just machines
we're art, we're life, we're a beauty
we're unfinished canvases, and that's okay
we're not just finished products
we're works in progress, we're rough drafts
we're not just masterpieces
we're unfinished canvases, and that's enough.
